Diffusion Bonding is a process where like materials are bonded together at the molecular level through heat and pressure. No solvent is applied. Transparent bonds can be constructed with multiple ports or channels. This is a superior bonding process for medical and semiconductor manifold applications where solvents would be considered a contaminant. Commonly used materials are acrylic, polycarbonate and Ultem 1000.
